RANGERS
Every golf course is staffed with people who have a primary responsibility to provide a pleasurable experience for all who may wish to enjoy this game of golf .Our Ranger program is part of this overall effort and it is staffed with volunteers, all of whom are dedicated to a level of play that we can all enjoy. In addition to customer service, these volunteers look toward maximizing the flow of golf play and they try to remind all golfers that certain rules of decorum and play, if not followed, may impact other golfers around us. To this end,
daily golfers can help by understanding that a Ranger is a volunteer…a volunteer that has but one aim in mind…to make for a pleasant experience. Our volunteer program is set up by day of the week. Each day has a Captain and if you
wish to be involved, please contact the Captain for the day(s) you might be available.

Guidelines for Ranger Sessions
1.Prior to your session call the hot line (286-0304) to obtain the course conditions and restrictions. Should the course be closed or carts are not allowed then you only need to complete a Ranger Log "with your name & date and note that the course "as closed or carts "were not allowed out.
2.Go to the Golf Shop to obtain the key for the ranger cart and clipboard log and have your cell phone with you. *check the cart for the first aid kit that should be stored in the dash area. Playing with multiple balls on the fairway, greens or traps is discouraged, keeping in mind the golf course is not a practice facility.
3.Tour the golf course starting at the 18th green and finishing at the 1st tee.
Be as unobtrusive as possible so as not to interfere with golfers play.
Stop the cart in a safe, out of the way place while players are hitting.
4.Should you find an infraction such as no tag, improper dress, cart too close to green etc.. discuss the infraction with the person or group and report it to the Golf Shop personnel at the end of the your session.
DO NOT BECONFRONTATIONAL!
SIMPLY INFORM THEM that "That what they are doing is not per Greenbriar Woodlands Rules and Regulations.
5. MOST IMPORTANT:
In the event of an emergency use your cell phone to report the emergency. Become familiar with the notes on the bottom of the Ranger log for Emergency Guidelines. Assist any golfer requesting assistance such as a ride to the clubhouse, their car or home and offer any item in the first aid kit if necessary
6.If for any reason you cannot obligate to your shift, please try to swap shifts with another ranger and let you ranger captain know about this change.
